Furufuru
I personally like this widget and it's gently falling stars, snow, maple leaves, and other items. Choose the item, enter password, and the objects change. On the widget webpage the password is the number in red towards the top of the page. Click on the items you want to include in the widget and then press the button on the bottom of the page. A window opens up with the code on the bottom of the page.
3rd place
Simple Ticker Widget
The title says it all. A seriously simple ticker widget that scrolls a phrase of up to 23 characters across it. Color, phrase and width are all customizeable. On widget's webpage, just click on a color, then add your phrase to Step 2, and then change the width in Step 3 if desired. The code automatically generates below.

A cool way for you and your blog visitors to create art on your blog. Just move your mouse over the widget to create. Here's a hint, hold down your mouse's left button as you move onto the widget, then you can start spraying when you release the button. The code is simple to see on the widget's web page.

Handsome Suit Animated Widget
Here is a perfect example of how nutty Japanese widgets can be. And all just to promote a movie. A little animated white critter (ghost?) pops out from behind the widget and tells you to click on it. Click! He'll then run around and you are supposed to catch him by clicking on him and dragging him over to the top of the widget. Then you'll see some different images of beautiful women and roses. And the picture also changes to a 'handsome' star. All in all, it's just fun playing with the little critter. The code is towards the bottom of the widget's web page. Enjoy!

Shigezoo Manga Widget
Each day a different scene from the popular Shigezoo mini manga appears on your blog. If you clck the blue button that means [Read] in Japanese, you can read the daily manga. But, just for Japanese readers. The code is simple to spot on the widget's website.

New Onigiri Widget
This widget displays the 'Onigiri of the Day' from the Japanese website devoted to onigir (rice balls filled with different kinds of ingredients. Perhaps the most popular being salmon, pickled plum, and tuna fish). The widget describes what kind of Onigiri is displayed, the date, how many have been registered on the website and how many different kinds. The code is easy to spot at the bottom of the widget's webpage.
8th place
aMap Widget
A cool way to map out and display an argument or discussion. The widget is generated from the aMap website, but is easily widgitized. The site also offers some social functions and your widget can be commented on by viewers. Neat little widget.

Girl's Festival Widget
A pretty neat widget to celebrate the Girl's Festival in Japan. If you hover the mouse over the widget, the Japanese character for Spring appears. If you click on the widget, a doll display window appears. Drag dolls to different locations and make your own display. If you click on the Japanese in the upper left of the widget, you'll see what the display should look like completed. Click on the Japanese on the upper right to close the window. The code is in the middle of the widget's webpage.
